Hoy cumple 57 años Eddie Van Halen (nacido el 26 de enero de 1955 en Nimega, Países Bajos). El año 1967 su familia se trasladó a California, donde su padre, músico de Jazz, Jan Van Halen, ayudó a que él y su hermano  fueran músicos y ambos fueron, durante muchos años, concertistas de piano.

También guitarrista y fundador de la banda de hard-rock Van Halen, es considerado uno de los mejores guitarristas de todos los tiempos. Van Halen como grupo fue descubierto por  Gene Simmons (bajista de KISS) que financió sus primeras grabaciones.

Esta canción “You really got me” (que ya era éxito del grupo británico “The Kings”) forma parte del álbum debut de esta banda, alrededor de 1978, que fue homónimo (Van Halen) y que tuvo otros grandes éxitos entre el resto de sus canciones.
