Axl Rose ha cumplido esta semana 51 años  (Lafayette, Indiana, EE UU, 6 de febrero de 1962). Tuvo una infancia muy difícil. Empezó a tocar el piano a muy corta edad y a estar relacionado con la música. Durante su adolescencia y tras descubrir quien fue su verdadero padre se convirtió en un joven delincuente arrestado 22 veces por intoxicación pública y robo.  Un psiquiatra observó su alto cociente intelectual  y concluyó que su comportamiento era una prueba de psicosis. Desde 1982 vivó en Los Ángeles.  Perteneció a varios grupos hasta que en marzo de 1985 con su amigo Tracii Guns formaron  Guns & Roses por la fusión de sus bandas.  Depués de grabar otras canciones lanzaron su álbum debut  Apetite for  destruction en julio de 1987.  El grupo desapareció a principios de los 90 y reapareció con una nueva formación, que seguía liderada por Axl Rose, en 2001.

Esta canción November Rain es la décima y primer sencillo del tercer álbum del grupo Use your illusion (septiembre, 1991) y trata una relación temperamental. Al parecer Axl Rose estuvo trabajando en ella, con su piano, desde 1983. Es la canción más larga en llegar al top 20 del Billboard Hot 100 y tiene el solo de guitarra (Slash) en la sexta posición de Los 100 mejores solos de guitarra por Guitar World.
